Absurt Archive
I am Dionne Anckaert, founder and owner of Absurt.
I grew up with radio-played popmusic and classical pieces through singing in a choir, doing musicals and playing flugelhorn in an orchestra. After living in Ghent for a year when I was 17, a whole new world opened up for me. I developed a deep love for guitars, distortion, noise and dynamic vocals while still exploring indie, hiphop, rock and more.
In 2023, I started studying Music Management. The course, my fellow students and friends again broadened my view on diverse musical genres. To this day, artists exploring bounderies and combining different styles spark my interest indefinitely.
Alessia Iannino is a close friend and the creator of the Absurt logo.
As a graphic designer, she graduated in Illustration at PXL-MAD (Hasselt, BE). She creates fun and characterful designs in unconventional ways.
Commissioned, she made some albumcovers, event posters, logo's and illustrations. Go check out the Stayinbedpropaganda Archive for some of her work!
A piece of history...
Starting the final year of the Music Management program at PXL-Music (Hasselt, BE) at the end of 2025, I needed a subject for my Graduation Project. I wanted to do something that aligned my passion for live music and development with my love for community building. Thus, the idea to work on a booking agency, with a little extra to it. Cooperations within this project would contain more than a regular booker's deal. I would host get-togethers and meetings to discuss how we could build and enrich a community around this agency.
I asked Stayinbedpropaganda, Organoid and Plaaggeest, who I knew were looking for a booker at the time, to join me in this journey. They all jumped into the project, head first. I will always be grateful for their trust and support.
A few months later, Absurt arose!
Together...
We believe music's most important purpose is to bring people together. Our world has infinite ways of acces, communication and an infinite diversity of musical genres. We want to create a cohesive space for people where they can talk, listen, feel and connect.
Through meetings and get-togethers we search for ways that make us feel like we are a community. Coherence between the bands within this agency can be inforced in many ways, like getting a drink together, talking about music(business)-related topics, playing shows together and cooperating to create music. The bandmembers have trusted eachother, listened to feedback and grown together.
Together, we are Absurt!Â
